Penalty for wrong answers (NEGATIVE MARKING)

  • For each wrong answer given by the candidate, one third (0.33) of the total marks will be deducted as penalty.
  • More than one answer given by the candidate will also treated as wrong answer and same penalty as above for that question will be implemented.
  • If a question is left blank and answer is not given by the candidate, then there will be no penalty for that question.

UPSC SO/Steno Exam:

PAPER- I: Paper will include subjects of interest and importance in the present day. Questions will be from Five Year Plans, Indian Economy and major Developmental Schemes and intelligence awareness of current affairs of both national and international.

PAPER- II: This paper will be of intensive and detailed held to test methods and procedure of work in the Government of India Secretariat and subordinate offices. So, one must have detailed knowledge of General Financial and Service Rules viz., Conduct Rules, Leave Rules, TA Rules etc.

PAPER- III: Candidates have to prepare notes and drafts on specific problems and précis from a passage.
