UPSC Eligibility Criteria

Engineering Services Examination:

Indian Engineering Services Examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission with the intention to recruit eligible and capable candidates for jobs of CE, ME, EE and ETE services. Examination is conducted in two different stages such as prelims and mains.

Eligibility Criteria for ESE:

Essential Qualification: Applicants must have completed their Graduation in Engineering from well known University/ institute.

Age Eligibility: Applicants should have minimum age of 21 years and maximum age of 30 years as on 1st January.

Combined Defense service Examination:

Combined Defense service Examination will be conducted to recruit officer’s cadets at Indian military, navy, army and air force. Union Public Service Commission is the responsible authority who conducts CDS examination.

CDS Eligibility Criteria:

Required Qualification:

Academy CDS Qualification
Air Force Academy 12th standard form Physics and Mathematics along with a degree from esteemed institution or bachelor degree in engineering /technology.

Women candidates can not apply for Air force academy.

Indian Military Academy A Bachelors Degree from recognized university.

Indian Military Academy  20-25 years
Indian Naval Academy  20-24 years
Indian Airforce Academy  20-25 years
Officer’s Training Academy (Unmarried Women)  20-25 years

NDA & NA Examination:

National Defence Academy and Naval Academy examination is conducted in two exams like I & II by the Union public service commission. This exam is conducted to fill jobs in Navy army and air force.

NDA & NA Eligibility Criteria:

Required Qualification:

  • Army Wing of National Defense Academy: Candidate must have passed 12th class from a well known education board.
  • Air Force and Naval Wing of National Defense Academy: Candidate must be 10+2 class passed with Math and Physics from well known education board.

Age Limitation:

Aspirants should make sure that their age must be lie in between 2nd July 1998 to 1st July 2001 and those candidates who were born before 2nd July, 1998 and after 1st July, 2001 are not eligible to apply for NDA (1) 2017 exam.

Civil Services Examination:

Indian Administrative Service Examination:

Indian Administrative Service Examination is conducted under civil service examination along with other 24 examination.  First stage is civil service aptitude test (CSAT) then mains will be held and lastly interview will be organized by the expert committee.

Indian Forest Service Examination:

UPSC Eligibility Criteria

Nationality:

Applicants should make sure they must be-

A citizen of India, or

A subject of Nepal, or

A Bhutan, or

A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention to  permanent settle down in India, or

A person who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to Indian with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Candidate belonging to (b), (c), (d) and (e) categories shall be a person in whose favour Government of India has been issued certificate of eligibility.

Number of Attempts for UPSC Exam:

Candidates can apply for UPSC Notification only for 6 times. Applicants has limit to apply and attempt any of the UPSC Examination. No one will be permitted to apply more than stipulated no. of attempts. Candidates belong to OBC community or SC / ST, will get limit with relaxation as per the rules of the examination. Medical Standards

Teeth Conditions:

  • Applicants shall sufficient, natural and healthy teeth.
  • Candidates with 14 dental points must be accepted.

Ear, Nose and Throat Conditions:

  • Hearing of the applicants should be normal
  • Forced whisper at a distance of 610 cms in a quiet room will be clear to the candidates.
  • Disease in ear, nose and throat in past or present is not admissible.

Not any other physical ailments:

  • Applicants should not have any skin or other disease.
  • One should have normal blood pressure
