The Syllabus of SSC CGL Tier III comprises of:

  • Writing of an Essay / Passage of 250 words and Letter
  • Application Writing of approximately 150 words
  • The Essay may carry 50-60 marks
  • If there is both Letter/Application writing as well Précis Writing, they may each carry 20-30 marks each. If just one of these two are asked, expect the Letter/Application to be worth 40 marks.

  • Tier 3 is a Pen and Paper mode examination.
  • It will be descriptive type paper that will be conducted for 100 marks
