Indian Air Force Recruitment For Group X (Technical): Candidates applying for Indian Air Force Vacancy must have passed intermediate/ 10+2 equivalent examination with Mathematics, physics with minimum 50% in aggregate and 50% marks in English or have passed three years diploma course in Engineering in any stream form any institute recognized by government.
Indian Air Force Recruitment For Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical): Candidates must have passed their 10+2 in any stream with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

Age Restrictions for Indian Air force Group-X Technical Recruitment Rally:
For the Indian Air Force Recruitment for Group X and Y the age of the applying applicants must be between 13.01.1998 and 27.06.2001
Salary Structure for IAF vacancies:
Group X posts: Selected candidates will get an impressive and attractive salary as opera the rules of the organization
Group Y posts: During training, a stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month will be paid. On completion of training the starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay including Military Service Pay (MSP) will be Rs. 26,900/- per month plus Dearness Allowance (as applicable) which, in subsequent years, may rise as per the career progression of the individual.
Benefits other than salary:
- The candidates will also be benefitted with other allowances such as Transport Allowance, Composite Personal Maintenance Allowance (CPMA), Leave Ration Allowance (LRA), Children Education Allowance, Family Planning Allowance, HRA etc as per the norms of the organization.
- Perks such as Ration, Clothing, Medical facilities, Accommodation, Recreational facilities, Transport for school going children and Leave Travel Concession (LTC) will also be given to finalized aspirants.

For the selection of eligible candidates, a recruitment test will be conducted by the organization which will include:
Phase I – Written Test & Adaptability Test-1.
Phase II – Physical Fitness Test & Adaptability Test-2.
Phase III – Medical Examination.
Written Test Pattern:
There will be objective type questions in the examination and question paper will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except for English paper. total time given to candidates to complete the examination will be 45 minutes and will comprise of English as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA). It is must for candidates to qualify each examination separately
Candidates who will qualify the written examination will undergo through the Adaptability test, under this test the commission will check the suitability of a candidate for employment in the IAF which involves deployment in varied geographic terrain, weather and operational conditions
Physical Fitness Test (PFT):
After successfully qualifying the adaptability test candidates will go through the next phase of selection i.e. PFT. PFT consists of a 1.6 Km run to be completed within 7 minutes. Candidates will also have to complete 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups and 20 squats within the stipulated time to qualify in the Physical Fitness Test
The fourth phase will be Adaptability Test-2, under this test the organization will select those candidates who can adapt to the environment of Indian Air Force and are able to adjust to the military way of life
Candidates who will qualify all the rounds will undergo through the Medical Examination, under the medical examination , various aspects will be checked as:
(a) Blood Haemogram – Hb, TLC, DLC
(b) Urine RE/ME
(c) Biochemistry:- (i) Blood Sugar Fasting & PP (ii) Serum Cholesterol (iii) Urea, Uric acid, Creatinine (iv) LFT—Serum Bilurubin, SGOT, SGPT
(d) X- Ray chest (PA view) (e) ECG (R)

Documents required for Indian Air Force Recruitment 2017:
- HB Pencil, Eraser, Sharpener, Gum tube, Stapler and Black/Blue Ball Point Pen for writing
- passport size colour photograph
- Original and four self-attested photocopies of Matriculation Passing Certificate (required for Date of Birth verification).
- Original and four self-attested photocopies of Intermediate/10+2/ Equivalent Examination Passing Certificate and Marks Sheet.
Procedure to apply for Indian Air Force Recruitment Rally in Odisha:
Candidates who find themselves eligible can go for recruitment rally for Group-X Technical Trades from 28.10.2017 to 31.10.2017. For Group Y (Non technical Posts), candidates have to attend the rally from 11-09-2017 to 21-09-2017. You are required to bring photocopies of Domicile certificate, matriculation passing certificate, intermediate/ 10+2/ equivalent examination passing certificates and marks sheets etc at the time of recruitment rally.
