Question:Which type of questions is asked in CDS Examination?

Answer: In CDS Examination question will be asked in objective type that is multiple choice questions. 4 alternatives will be provided and one has to select any one option.

Question: What is the mode of Combined Defence Services Examination?

Answer: Examination will be conducted in offline mode.

Question: What is the Duration of the CDS Written Exam?

Answer: Time allotted to each candidate is 2 hours.

Question: Which language is admissible for exam?

Answer: Exam paper will be set in English and Hindi so, both languages are admissible.

Question: How many numbers of sections are in the exam?

CDS Negative Marking Scheme:

Applicants as there will be negative marking in the examination so be careful while attempting the question-

  • For each question if wrong answer is given by the candidate then One third (0.33) of the marks will be deducted
  • If any candidate gives more than one answer it will be treated as wrong answer only, there will be same penalty for that question.
  • If question is left blank and no answer is given by the candidate, then no penalty will be applied for that question.

Highlights of CDS Written Exam:

  • Question is asked in objective type that is 4 alternatives will be given and one has to select anyone.
  • Question papers include Elementary Mathematics and General Knowledge will be set in English as well as Hindi language.
  • Candidates have to write the paper with own hands in any circumstances they are not permitted to get help from a scribe.
  • No candidates are allowed to use calculator thus they are not allowed to bring the same inside the examination hall.
  • Answers with be given will blue ball pen only.
  • Reach at least 20 minutes before in the examination premises.
  • All electronics item and any communication device are banned in the exam so make sure you will not bring it inside the hall.

Intelligence and Personality Test:

As the selection of the aspirants will be based on written examination and SSB interview so, after qualifying the recruitment test applicants are required to appear for interview round.

SSB procedure consists of two stages that are stage I and stage II. Stage I is comprises of Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests are Picture Perception* Description Test (PP&DT). For further process applicants will have to shortlisted on the basis of combination of performance in OIR Test and PP&DT. Stage II is of Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and the Conference it is conducted for over 4 days.
